Since I use my Kobo to read epubs the vast majority of the time, I don't -- often -- need the ability of KOreader to handle other file formats. I do use KOreader and CoolReader due to a constitutional inability to not play with my devices. As the December, 1975 issue of Byte's cover stated: Computers: the ultimate toys. One of my favourites of Robert Tinney's covers.

Given that I use Advboot to run them so nickel never gets a chance to run at the cost of needing a reset/power cycle to change modes, I still manage to run into bugs such as the bleeping ereader not remaining in standby and the frontlight coming on by default. Not to mention the unusably small (for my tired old eyes) default status line in KOreader.
