Wow! It still comes up at $0.38 for me today. I paid $8.89 back in the day (I pre-ordered it) and my 10 year old son loves it and is eager for the next installment. (He has read pretty much everything by Brandon Mull -- Fablehaven series, Beyonders trilogy, The Candy Shop War, the first Spirit Animals book).
I see now that
book #2 is available for pre-order and I'm going to go ahead and plan to overpay for that one now too.
(It is worth it though since he *devours* them the minute he finds out they're on his Kindle. I really do not think that I am overpaying; it's only overpaying if it gets cheaper before it is read and there is no danger of that happening with this book. Books I buy for myself, on the other hand...
)
