I used to convert to rtf and then import. Haven't done it for years but one never knows.
Or you can convert to formatted text etc.
You could also use the built in calibre editor or sigil, but maybe not worth the learning curve if you don't edit often.
Purists will not agree but rtf is probably good enough if you are only editing an occasional document.
