Ok so it looks like the files have to be in this folder on the nexus for the kindle app to see them.
Android/data/com.amazon.kindle/files
However, calibre is not allowed to look past the parent Android directory, so even manually pointing to the sub directory under config device in calibre still gets the book put in the Books folder.
SO Ill just have ot push it to the books folder, then using windows explorer, C&P to the sub directory.
