Untill now ebook revolution was restricted to the western world , but it is catching up in SEA country like India. And Major credit goes to Flipkart.com and amazon.in .
The pricing plays a major role here . It was a time in 2005-2006 the price of ebook in EPUB format was more than Print . Now these companies have realized this and are keeping the price of eBooks lower than print books. This is slowly decreasing Piracy here.
And to keep on growing these companies must do what baenebooks do. (I know Most Top authors won't agree ).

I found their T&C quite interesting.Here it goes

Once you've purchased the Ebook, you've paid for your right to enjoy it. We try to make it as easy to do that as we can. As long as you purchased it through our website and it shows up in your My Books list you can download to your heart's content.
