Are you just overwhelmed by the number of books in your library? I would think going alphabetically that could cause issues if you have any multi-author series. Okay if they are alreay labeled, but you would need to keep a strict eye out when adding new books to get the series number correct. Also if you do not split your anthologies would the book go in multiple libraries? Also books with more than one author.

For me, tagging the genre is sufficient because I can always sort by tags. I also think having all the books in "one" place makes it easier to look for books to read. I do have another library I put the books that I don't plan to reread any time soon and that are not on my Sony. By default some of my unread books are there because I tried to keep all of an author's work in one library or the other.

One trick I have found to make it easier to tell at a glance which library I am in is that I have different custom columns as the first column in my Vault library (date archived) and the Warehouse library (where purchased). This way I am supposed to not accidentally add a book to the wrong one, though that's been known to still happen
