@Glorfindel If the answer is no, and you use Windows, then you could use a local dictionary that does a lookup on currently selected word(s) in any application - browsers, pdf readers, text editors, word processors, spreadsheets, presentation tools... and ebook viewers.

I use Word Web and The Sage via their built-in and configurable hotkey facility, Ctrl+` and Alt+` respectively . I don't know if commercial dictionaries have a similar facility - but I'd be surprised if they didn't.

I don't know if there are similar programs to WordWeb and The Sage for Mac and Lunix, but I would imagine so.
