I did something similar. After getting my first ereader I waited a couple of month until I was sure I didn't enjoy reading paperbooks that much anymore and then sold most of my books.

I kept all the art books and changed all the books I re-read more than once into the nicest sewn, clothbound, gilded if possible, hardbacks I could find.

Which turns out to do so has been utter nonsense as I not once read a paperbook since I got a reader. Now I tell myself they'll come handy when there is armageddon and no more electricty to feed a reader.
