I understand that in the press announcement, Tennant told the reporters, "Please don't ask me about this or I may start crying." Or something to that effect. I guess he really enjoys being the Doctor. I myself can't figure out why he couldn't just stay with it. I mean, he
had an acting career before, and if something untoward happened to the Doctor Who franchise
, he could still get work. I really felt like he was building a lot of depth to the character. I hate to see that get abandoned.
