Hi - I'll just add that I did not like the lighted grey screen of PW1 either - in fact I gave it away. I really didn't like it.
PW2 has a much warmer screen - more of a cream than grey, and I love it. For me personally, I found a huge difference between the reading experience on PW 1 & PW2, so if you have a chance, you might want to have a look at it.
