Apparently that's not something that the Distributed Proofreaders found to be a common scanning error (aka scannos), because their post-scan prep tool doesn't look for it. I suppose it depends on the OCR application used. Maybe it's because of the time I've spent reviewing pages on their site, but obvious scannos like that really bug me. I think the ones where they tried to fix a common scanno with a global search and replace and they got it wrong are worse.
