Unfortunately, this version doesn't work either, which is kind of odd, because, AFAIK, both the Kindle and iBooks apps use Webkit-based rendering engines.
Maybe it's time to throw in the towel. After all, Apple device users can always install other apps that behave in a more predictable way.
Anyway, I really appreciate your efforts.
