Why not? You add it in, try it and if you don't like it, remove it. It doesn't affect anything else.

To those who have a Glo with the full screen on, any updates or comments? Like performance in general?

My only real comment is that it fills the screen. I can't see any performance issues. Reading an epub like this works with no problems. Personally, it might fill the screen a bit much and I am so used to the page numbers at the bottom that I don't really like it.

Update: should I change my affiliate back to whatever it was before I changed it?

There are a few options that the affiliate affects. The screensaver options and whether Pocket is available are the ones I can think of. It might also affect the shop, but I think that would only be when setting up the user in the first place.
