I agree, I just wish I knew what Amazon's programming strategy was. Which device is first, which ones controls the collections? How often do they update to their server? When you add a new device how do you get them on the new device without creating a "fake" collection?
I have some very large collections and they always seem to mess up on my paperwhite, but then I end up with dupes on my android. And creating/editing collections on the android is a nightmare, it always keeps trying to download books and put it on the device.
Thank goodness I am the only one on my account or this nightmare would be so much worse.
