Okay,
one of the two longer short stories (5000 words -- by far the longest piece I've ever written) has reached the "completed first draft" stage. I've set it aside to rest, but hope to have it all polished and shiny within a couple of months.
The other has had some serious rewrites, but it's about three fourths done. It should also come out to about 5000 words or so.

And add to that another short. The beginning and end came pretty easily, but I have no idea how I'm going to connect them.
