Inexpensive Kindle Covers
Very Inexpensive, But Effective, Kindle Cover
Greetings.
If you have never "seen" me before, it's because heretofore I've posted only in the "E-book General/Deals, Freebies, and Bargains" forum. But, I had a bit of information that I thought that some of you might be interested in knowing about.
I bought a Kindle (the most basic one--not even Paperwhite) a couple of months ago. Up to that time I had only been using Kindle for PC. Immediately, the issue arose of how to protect the device when I wasn't using it.
Being the frugal person that I am (you may have picked up on that when I said that I bought the most basic Kindle possible. hahah), I didn't want to have to spend a lot of money on a cover. I thought that I would check the local Dollar Tree to see if, ideally, they had a cover for it and, if not, they had something that I could re-purpose. I found a cover for $1 (of course) that is almost perfect for the job.
It appears to be made of neoprene, the same stuff some of the expensive covers are made of, and is spongy. The Kindle (7" ?) fits almost perfectly. At the top, the opening tapers in slightly, helping to keep the Kindle from sliding out. It seems to be well put together. I am very pleased with it. And, it was just $1!!!
Unlike the merchandise liquidator type stores which might have items in one of their stores, but not another, Dollar Tree seems to have a consistent inventory over all of their stores. I feel sure that you can catch this same item at any other Dollar Tree.
Ya'll come see us in the "E-book General/Deals, Freebies, and Bargains" forum sometime.
