My suggestion would be to edit your original post to add "solved - answer in thread" or similar to the very beginning so that those reading it will know, if they have a similar problem, to read on for the answer.
Also, for those of us that use the hover feature that shows the first several words of a post from the forum thread listing, having that info in the beginning will show before they even click to view the thread.
