Until the Kindle has a way to password protect documents, I would forewarn against keeping anything confidential on the Kindle (in case it gets lost).

Same applies to locking your pdas and cell phone...I had a friend lose his cell phone and someone decided to use it to call people in his address book (in the middle of the night) before he realized it was missing. People were panicked that some mishap had befallen him.
