I doubt that the book is worth all of this trouble for me. Again, I'm sorry that I didn't know about its difficulties before I posted it.
For future reference (anyone can chime in here) . . . . if, on the preview of books that Amazon gives, it says "Just so you know...This view is of the print book (Paperback edition). A preview of the Kindle book is currently not available," as was the case with this book, is this a tip off that the book will be like this one?

Not a problem. Usually if the book is a problem it's not available on the eink models, but this one is available on eink and on phones. I just wanted to let people know it was a problem on tablets as well.
