I put in "LastLibrarySorter_shelfList_=sortByShelfName( )" (without quotes) for the "LastLibrarySorter_shelfList_="sortByShelfName ()", and nothing happens, it's still messed up.
Looking at how the options are displayed, you used Notepad to edit the file. Unfortunately, Notepad messes it up. You need to use a Unix line end aware editor such as Notepad++ to make the changes. With the state that Notepad has left the config file, it is probably best to delete the file and let the device create a new one. This is safe and you won't lose the login or book info, just the configuration like sort order and what to display in lists. But, these are probably lost anyway.
