It's been about a day since I've posted anything.
I'm going through some very powerful withdrawal symptoms.
The only thing to do is get another "fix" by posting something.
I did a search and for some reason no one on MR apparently has mentioned
MakeUseOf.com as a great place to get free ebooks. I even checked MR's Wiki page (
https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/Free_eBooks (a great resource, by the way. Check it out, if you haven't already, or haven't done so recently)). I've been aware of MakeUseOf.com for quite a while and have downloaded quite a few good books.
Almost all, if not all, of MakeUseOf.com's books are in some way related to computers, including covering topics concerning ebooks.
MakeUseOf.com says that the books are free. I checked the first two or three books listed and, indeed, the pdf and epub versions are free, but the Kindle (mobi) versions have a nominal charge of 99 cents each. Oh, and you can read the books online for free if that's your druthers.
Of course, I'm not going to list all of the books that the site offers, because . . . . well . . . . okay I'm too lazy. But, I'm going to list them until I get tired of doing it, so that you can get an idea of what they offer:
