Yes, I agree. I started my 3 months free and immediatley emailed the Scribd support. I was sure that I had missed something.
" Hi! I'm a new trial user.
Basically I find the appearance of books on the iPad severely lacking. Maybe I am used to Caecilia on the Kindle app with the ability to control line spacing and margins.
How do I achieve the same level of control with the Scribd reader? Thanks, David "
Support responded: "Hi David,
Thanks for contacting Scribd.
Sorry for the trouble. While we do offer some basic viewing options such as enlarging text, we don't offer line spacing or managing margins."
So I wrote back:
"I find this baffling. Surely your readers and their comfort should be your top priority.
As it stands the reading experience could only be described as poor and this must affect every trial that your users start. I'm the squeeky wheel but I'm totally sure that I am far from alone.
Please change this request to NOT resolved and HIGH priority.
Thanks, David"
They responded:

Hello, David.
We take all suggestions into account, and I've passed this along to our team for review as a feature request. As such, I have marked this ticket as solved pending any further support issues."
Clearly these people would be happy selling books carved onto stone tablets.
Silly beyond belief!
