the best way is to use Calibre it is one of the best and simple to use. Many options many features, one of which is the server that can be accessed via the home wifi network and with password protection from any wifi access point via the internet, direct IP connection. Works well manages all your books and shelves. There are more peeps on here who can advise as to how to use and set up your Calibre program. One of which for shelve creation, is PeterT who has instructions on how to set that up. I think its in the developers corner. If PeterT is reading this he will most likely be able to direct you exactly as to where to go.
