The chapter name and page number are shown at the bottom of the navigation <--> menu, and if you leave that menu active, it is just one tap to check the page number while reading.
A separate slider for top/bottom margins would be ideal, but it is quite easy to automatically set a fixed top margin when transfering the book with Calibre, and another possibility is a
patch being tested that makes the margin slider change the bottom and/or top margins together with the left/right margins.
