Stripping Affiliate Information from a URL

I just ran across a one-click $10 credit for Audible that I want to post on this forum. It requires the person to visit a certain webpage (the website does not appear to be malicious--i just went to it a few minutes ago, clicked on the link for the offer, and was taken to the Audible page where a $10 credit almost instantly appeared). I need to find out 1) how to recognize if there is affiliate information embedded in the URL, and 2) if there is, how to strip the affiliate information, so I get a "clean" URL and post the URL with the promotion on this forum. Thanks.
