Due to my circumstances I could only use it 6 months of the year. The potential frustration of needing it and not being able to access it is not something I want to pay for.

And I am not 100% confident in the cloud, or my hard drives for that matter, but I am reasonably content with what I do now so I don't see it changing soon.

And what is the worst that can happen? I lose my media, books, backup games etc. People have lived for centuries without this so I expect I would survive.
