How exactly did you get it running again? Did you need to open it up and disconnect the battery? Have you got the battery plugged back in correctly with no damage to plug, wires, contacts, etc? Sounds like it only works when plugged in, that screams battery issue or power issue to me.
Good luck. Without the rest of what you posted and the story involved, it's going to be hard to get help in this thread...
