Vista on release was a downgrade from XP, with broken drivers galore and the new UAC which was far too aggressive. Higher system requirements, programs tended to run slower than they did on XP, file copying took ages(!!!) and basically the whole thing was a mess.

Why would you buy Vista back in the day when it was a mess? Stick with XP which works. Oh, they finally upgraded Vista so it works too? Well, they did that after making Win7 available. Lets just get that instead.
