Vista on release was a downgrade from XP, with broken drivers galore and the new UAC which was
far too aggressive. Higher system requirements, programs tended to run slower than they did on XP,
file copying took ages(!!!) and basically the whole thing was a mess.
Granted, today Vista isn't bad, in fact they basically took all the improvements of Win7 and used it to make Vista actually work.
But there is and was never a good reason to have Vista over XP or 7.
Why would you buy Vista back in the day when it was a mess? Stick with XP which works. Oh, they finally upgraded Vista so it works too? Well, they did that after making Win7 available. Lets just get that instead.
