georgia font numeric quirk
I noticed somthint a little odd when using Georia font: that some numbers extend below the line ( = serif?) and some done
so out of 123456789 1268 are postioned higher & appear smaller than 34579
At first I thought this was a Kobo implementation thing, but checking the same string in MS word with Georgia selected see the same effect.
So is their some subtle rationale for why the font is deigned like that ?
not that I've noticed it is bugging me, because it happens with the page xx of yy bit of the footer as well as with typical chapter numbers
I could read in another font & have it vanish, but I've gotten used to using Georgia
I was told a whil back that document default was similar to georgia for an epub with no font family definitions in CSs, but default font does not have this numbers quirk
