Basically what I wanted was to save to disk in such a way that there would be just a folder for the author name and the books would be in that folder.

Doyle, Arthur C.

list of books

instead of having every book in a separate folder within the folder with the author's name. The template that kacir mentioned seems to do that fairly well. The only difference is that it's

1) authors name
2) unlabeled folder
3) list of books

instead of:

1) authors name
2) list of books

With the default template it was:

1) authors name
2)folder for book 1
2a) book

3) folder for book 2
3a) book

etc.
