I have just bought a Kobo Aura HD and am trying to configure it, As far as I can see I have followed PeterT's instructions but I cannot see any shelves at all on the Kobo. I created a collection called fiction and I can see that, but no shelves.
I have installed both Kobo plugins and have configured them according to PeterT (I think) and created a column called My Shelves in Calibre which I can see.

Also, do I have to use Kobo desktop? I do not want to purchase books from Kobo I have heaps of epubs already. How do I delete the Kobo desktop?
