Question In case an upgrade bricks the Touch -- Restoring % read

I back up my books before an upgrade and have been able to put my books and annotations/notes back when the device has bricked (after doing a factory reset and applying firmware that works).

Is there a way to get back the places you were at for each book? I don't think I have ever gotten that to work.

So, for example, let's say I have Book A and it was 10% read and Book B was 20% read. The Touch bricks and I get firmware back on there. Then I copy my books back over and annotations/notes but I want to open up Book A and be at 10% read and Book B and be at 20%. Is this possible?
