Have you tried fiddling with the fonts in Advanced? I found that making the fonts slightly heavier really helps.

I have done this, and have done it on all the Kobo's that I own.

I have no complaints at all about the screens, but I do think the PW2 screen still has the greater contrast - the darks pop out on PW2 screen.

I'm very happy with the Aura HD, though - I enjoy the form factor and the screen much more than the Kobo Glo. I even like the plastic feel, which (to my thinking), does NOT lend a 'plasticky' feel to the Aura. Rather, it feels solid, looks 'rich' and performs like a high-end reader.



ADDED: While there are many things I like about the PW2, I find myself more fully enjoying reading on the Kobo Aura HD, because of the reasons cited above.
