I finished several books in the past week or so. I read Akhenaten and The Picture of Dorian Gray for the clubs and really enjoyed the reread of Dorian Gray.

I read Murder at Fenway Park by Troy Soos. It was okay, but I'd like to know if his writing gets any better as the series progresses. If not, I don't think I'll read another. I like the time period and the baseball/mystery element, but found the writing pretty juvenile.

I read The Son of a Certain Woman by Wayne Johnston. This was very different than anything else by Johnston, but a fabulous book! I'm actually not a big John Irving fan, but this story could have been concocted by Irving. Johnston is a great writer and I couldn't put this book down.
