No offense taken, Yvan. It makes me very happy to see that people still think and feel deeply. I'm sorry about your cats and understand perfectly your viewpoint. Our dog (so remotely related to her wolf ancestors that the relationship is difficult to see) wasn't even meant to be. I look at my daughters and can only think that they were never "intended" (whatever that means) to preen themselves daily, eat stuff out of cans, drive places, stand and work for hours in an air conditioned box, etc. I can't change any of that to any meaninful extent unless we all strip naked and head for the hills. I can just try to be sensitive to how unnatural life is for everyone and try to do the best I can.
