I do not know what model Kindle you have (your info box says: "kindle 5").

And the first four characters of your device's serial number to identify your Kindle model (and update your post/info box).

Locate the version of reader you want to install,

Read the directions.

The installation of our signed packages are the same process as doing an Amazon update:

Place package in root (topmost visible directory) of USB storage;
Safely remove/Eject the Kindle mass storage;
Remove the USB cable;
Menu -> Settings -> Menu -> Update Your Kindle.

If the "UYK" button is grayed out - either the package is not for your model of Kindle, or you did something wrong - try again.

If the update_*.bin file silently disappears - it is not the correct file for you model of Kindle.
