If you get a good tablet, you won't know how you lived without one! I still remember my awe at the first one I got, which was a refurb Nook Color.

Quite right the cheap tablets have quality of screen problems and they are made like laptop screens with horrible view angles. You want a tablet you can see at any angle. My Nexus 7 is my baby and I love it. It doesn't suffer from any of these problems.
