So, having pointed out to Kobo that their logic on why Analog is not available on their ereaders is rather flawed as this publication is more like a book than a glossy magazine, I actually got a response which gives some hope:

Let's see what happens! I'm not entirely sure what they mean by updated software; the problem remains that they think of Analog as a magazine (i.e. as a glossy publication). Anyway, I'll keep you all posted. In the meantime, I'm reading the June issue of Analog (novelettes disappointing but short stories quite good).
