cmd-i for Edit Metadata, but…

Hi!

I know that it's possible to assign shortcuts to Menu Items, but my suggestions is not possible as far as I can see.

The background is: When managing my music and TV Series in iTunes, I can press cmd-i for editing the information. Depending on whether or not I have selected several entries, I get the bulk edit or the single entry edit.

Now what I noticed when managing my calibre collections is, that I press cmd-i to edit the metadata - but that does nothing. So I assigned it to "Edit metadata", but now I always get the single edit and never the bulk edit. I assigned a separate shortcut for bulk edit now, but wouldn't it be possible to have a "Edit bulk or single metadata" function which invokes the appropriate function depending on whether or not 1 or several books are selected?
