There is no support for JavaScript in ePub 2. You would need DRM to implement any sort of time limit which is a different but important question. DRM from Adobe is too costly for self publishers I am afraid. I suggest you just post a sample of the book for people to use for a trial and then sell them the full book. Or you could withhold some other feature to get them to buy it.
