TL;DR: the average Joe doesn't need 90% of what's mentioned in there. Just follow the JB instructions and its FAQ (which is designed to give you an idea of what you actually really need to install depending on what you want to do with your device, instead of just telling you to do stuff with no explanation).

Thank you NiLuJe for the answer and for drawing my attention. You are absolutely right about not going blind and I guess that in general I have followed this policy in life. I like always to know what I am doing and also how can I undo things, if possible.
Therefore I have installed so far what I have been reading that it is the obligatory base package: JB + rescue pack + MKK + Kual + USBNet. I have to decide and undestand on how to go further.

As for those little applications, I was complaining that there are a few simples ones that I have expected to work but they actually don't (3DMaze, Calculator, Sudoku, etc), the screen is blinking once and that's it, nothing else happens. I will delete them, although Calculator might have been interesting.

Another application I am interested in, but I am not clear if it has been developped for and working on the (Linux) KPW2 is Weather Station. There is a thread on this topic but from the fast reading I've retained the ides that it might be for Kinlde with Android. I could be wrong however, I am not at all familiar with the models, PW2 is my first Kindle. And I have purched it because it runs Linux.

Hm, I have been reading here and there that JB is solving that zero light level, but maybe I am mistaken.
