Here's the kicker. As many of you know, they don't tell you the format before you buy. They are nice enough however to warn you about it when you click the download PDF link after buying.

Here is an easy way to distinguish epub, and pdf ebooks before you buy them. This works about 95%+ of the time. Go to the "Read this On" section located on the bottom right corner of the ebook page. If the Read this On has Blackberry then it is an epub (full line: DESKTOP, eREADERS, ANDROID, TABLETS, IOS, BLACKBERRY, WINDOWS). If Blackberry is absent, DESKTOP, eREADERS, ANDROID, TABLETS, IOS, WINDOWS then it is a very good chance it is a kepub or an open epub (not always, but most of the time). If the Read this On section is blank then it is likely a pdf. This has been a very reliable way to tell them apart, works for me
