Now I have a huge amount of big cookbooks to get rid of. I am thinking donating to a thriftshop as I don't know if my library would take them. I don't need them as I use the internet when I need a recipe.
We took alot of stuff to the landfill and the lady in the guard shack actually wanted my old crockpot so I gave it to her.

My hubs drives me crazy with the packrat tendencies. Not only does he refuse to throw away his own stuff ("but honey, it might be useful someday" - NOT!!!) he takes other people's junk that they are throwing away.
I would think the library will take your old cookbooks - not to put into circulation, but to sell for cash. Every library I've ever belonged to will take just about any book as long as it's not falling apart - then they sell them in book sales to raise money.
