Just as a follow up ... I went ahead and got the refurbished Sony PRS-T2 for $50. So far I like it. The library app works well. I did have to give it my Adobe account information, then logged into the library. I've tested the borrowing and returning feature -- and it works well (all on the T2). So far I haven't been able to get it to connect to ADE -- not sure what's going on there, but I'll figure it out. Calibre works fine (it seems to always work). Evernote works well -- at least for what I use it for. I like that I can pick and choose what I sync to the T2. I went ahead and upgraded. The upgrade deleted the Sony Market and, instead, put in a Kobo Market logo -- basically that's all it is so far. But that's not a big worry. Though I will be happy to get the Kobo market on it -- I might want to buy a book on the road some time. The update also deleted the Facebook App, which might be disconcerting to some folks -- it means nothing to me. The Sony doesn't do margins like the Kindles and Nooks -- but I'm figuring out how to use Crop -- and that looks like it will do the job nicely. (I don't like huge margins, but I also don't like no margins.) Fonts are just a bit lighter than I would like -- but they're clear. Browser scrolls really well for an E-Ink Reader (this is the snappiest eReader I've ever used) -- the browser is actually usable.
At any rate, I'm rambling. The T2 works well with Overdrive and my library, which is on topic. Thanks again to everyone who helped me through ADE and Calibre and what to expect with the Sony T2. It fits well in an M-Edge Kindle 4/Touch Go! case -- and it even has room for the stylus.
