The root of the matter was I drafted the post outside of the forum's editor, which normally gives me no problem, and I did not have time to devote to a better fix when the space appeared as I had pressing things to get done elsewhere.
It was quickest to on this occasion to just try a couple of edits and when they failed to add a quick note which I would have expected clarified what was intended. Ordinarily I would have gone on to the alternative of snipping the permissions window or otherwise fixed the text had I had the time.
