I had an airedale when I was little that loved tomatoes! Such a good dog. I do love dogs but I find my life is more conducive to cats. DH and I both work outside the home, often long hours. The kitties are a bit more tolerant of this. Right now I've got three of my own and four foster babies. I live in a city where we have a tremendous feral problem so I work with a group that does TNR (trap-neuter-release). I'm not so good at the release part. Two of my three are ferals. They were a bit older and harder to adopt (and I'll admit I got rather attached) so I kept them. Sweet, sweet kitties, though. I've got four baby kittens that I'm looking to adopt out right now and another stray I'm luring in. My neighborhood is stray cat central.

There seems to be a bit of debate about indoor vs. outdoor. Since I'm doing the foster thing I'm looking into an outdoor kitty run. Best of both worlds for the fur babies. I live in a downtown area so it's too dangerous for them to wander around but I think they'd like the fresh air and amusement.
