Well, my anecdote is that I know 12 people with Xboxes and they all stream Netflix and Hulu and two stream Crunchyroll, too. All adult households where the Xbox resides in the living room--two are serious gamers of the game-a-month variety, the rest use the consoles for video first and gaming second.
Different strokes and all that.

Keep in mind that both the 360 and the PS3 will stay on the market at least 3 more years, steadily dropping in price. Xbox already runs between $149-179 and will likely drop to $149 by summer. Rumor has it MS already has a driveless 360 "mini" to sell at $99-$129, with gaming controller included. Sony has similar plans.

Anecdote for anecdote, spec for spec, Amazon has a rough road ahead in the living room.
The only declared major player with a rougher road ahead is Google.
