Using oldupdate.zip (attached to that post):

1. Extract and move all files/folders within to the root of your Kindle Drive. There are two items -- A folder called "update", and a file called "Update_oldupdate_install.bin"
2. Put the desired update, err, "downdate" into the folder "update".
3. Update your Kindle manually, from:
