Alright, this is getting ridiculous. I cannot believe how the freebies have dropped off the face of the earth. While they are under no obligation to do so, there have been certain companies that had been steady sources of freebies over the last couple of years (Tantor, Downpour, even Audible most of the time); I can understand slowing down from monthly but now there is nothing!
It's hard to bring you guys good freebies if no one offers them. In an effort to keep up some level of interest until May gets here (when TM will keep us up-to-date on the Sync offerings) I'll try and fill the void once a week with some other sites I've found out there. One site I particularly like for short titles is
Listen to Genius. This is an "imprint" of University Press Audiobooks. It is a collection of short pieces (novel excerpts, short stories, letters, and poetry) from classic authors and thinkers, and "read by award-winning audiobook narrators." I've tried several entries and found them quite good; maybe there is something here that will whet your appetite for more.
Enjoy!
