i use this site ; i like it a lot. all the titles i've seen are either PD, or CC, which is how they keep them free. i'm not sure what you mean by unique vs. gutenberg though.

i've only used the java app versions, maybe the html is new. basically each book is a little java app you install on your phone. you have 3 sizes of text to choose from, and black on white or the reverse. they use little orange markers vertically along the side of the screen (progress through the current chapter) and horizontally along the bottom of the screen (progress through the book) to show where you are. there are no bookmarking functions, but the book remembers where you are each time you quit.

i wouldn't want to spend too much time reading that way, but for a 20 minute métro ride it's a nice backup solution.
